"Chef competition" was completed among the students of RTRK Hotel School

RTRK Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism in association with Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) recognized by Nepal Government since 2068 in Itahari, Sunsari, with the main slogan of "Skilled Education with Culture, the need of today" aims to make youth self-employed through useful skills. And tourism has been conducting tourism-based activities in addition to conducting trainings related to the tourism industry.

RTRK is conducting short term trainings like 3 months general cook, 6 months commercial cook and bakery, waiter waitress, bakery, bar tender, special sushi and naan tandoori and house keeping. Diploma level Professional Diploma in Hotel Management and Professional Diploma in Culinary Arts are also being conducted here in technical collaboration with international universities.After the training, the students are also getting the chance of internship and job placement in Five Star Properties from home and abroad. In order to make the students practical, RTRK also conducts inter-college safe competition from time to time. The school believes that students will be encouraged to work professionally in the industry by being inspired by such programs. Meanwhile RTRK organized RTRK Intercollegiate Safe Competition on 17th Baisakh. Corporate MasterChef Saikumar Sharma, RTRK, was the judge of the said Chef Competition. The founders were Gastronomy Chef Prem Tumbapo and Chef Tom Khanal. Keeping in view the increasing infection of covid-19, safe competition was organized by participating limited students in a phased manner according to the standards of the government of Nepal.

 

Tikaram Chaudhary, Samir Limbu and Shailendra Rai participated in the first round of CHEF competition. Contestant Sailendra Rai prepared a main course of buffalo meat with gravy and rice and salad. Another contestant, Tikaram Chaudhary, prepared Malaysian style Nasi Goreng Mamak, while Samir Limbu prepared Chicken Chilli as an Indo-Chinese starter and presented it to the judges. The judges judged the food on look, taste, texture, smell, cooking technique, hygiene overall and declared the contestant Shailendra Rai as the winner. "RTRK Intercollegiate Chef Competition" Winner Shailendra Rai RTRK M. D-Founder Gastronomy Chef Prem Tumbapo and Judge Corporate MasterChef Saikumar Shama were jointly honored with medals and certificates along with food.Competition participants Samir Limbu and Tikaram Choudhary were also honored with certificates . In this program, the Culinary students of RTRK were honored with the "World Chef Choice Federation International Certificate of Merit" by Corporate Masterchef Saikumar Sharma.

 

"RTRK Intercollegiate chef Competition" Jury Corporate Masterchef Saikumar Sharma and Chef Tom Khanal were welcomed by Academic Director of RTRK Hotel School Mrs. Rachna Thapa and "RTRK Intercollegiate Chef Competition" certificate as token of love on behalf of RTRK Hotel School. She was given and honored. RTRK MD/Founder Gastronomy Chef Prem Tumbapo expressed his best wishes to all the participants for a bright future by saying that such activities in addition to the competition will help the students to develop their abilities and skills as well as improve their personality and perform nationally and internationally.
